This is the web site for the Deeside Defenders Gaming Club. A wargames, board games and general gaming club based at Broughton in North Wales, near to Chester.

New members are always welcome! If you are new to war gaming and board gaming and would like to have a go or if your an experienced gamer looking for new opponents, please feel free to pop along to a club night. Please note all children under age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Gauntlet 2012 Show - Flames of War Tournament - Confirmed

The club is pleased to annouce the that the Flames of War tournament will be held on Saturday the 7th at this Gauntlet. A one day competion. Full details can be found here.

Gauntlet 2011 Show: Was held on 2nd & 3rd of July 2011

This years show passed without a hitch. The avid WRG players put in a good showing and had a good weekend by all accounts.

The SOTCW members and guests put on a large 55 days in Peeking game which went down a storm. We hope to have the usual mix of tournaments back in place in 2012. And so look forward again to inviting you to Broughton, on the first weekend in July. Hope to see you there.

Gauntlet Gaming Show - Overview

The Gauntlet Wargames and Gaming Show has been run by the club since 2004 as a friendly player based open event focused on actual gaming, competitions, participation and demonstration games. The club invites players from across the country to join us for our event! If you have any questions about the event, please contact us.

We are the largest regular wargaming and gaming club in Wales. If you are new to wargaming or gaming in general or a seasoned player new to the area then we are always pleased to have new members. The links on the left will give you more details about the club.

If you have never played a wargame before and are a bit bewildered where to start, and which periods or scales may take our fancy, then why not come along and talk to our members. The club is always keen to help people discover our great hobby.
